The Story Behind the Shillong Teer Result
Shillong hosts one of India’s oldest archery lotteries. In two sittings, skilled archers loose their arrows at a cylindrical target, and the count of arrows that land decides the day’s fortune. Only the last two digits of that count matter, and that figure becomes the official teer result for the round. Evening after evening, followers across the Northeast wait for this Shillong teer result to appear.
When Are the Numbers Out?
- Afternoon sitting: the first round number is declared.
- Evening sitting: the second round number follows.
